Day 360: An Unlikely Blessing

I won’t lie. I’m sick of Zoom meetings, too.

But WHAT MAGIC THEY ARE!

The other day I was speaking with a colleague in the UK and I was struck by how amazing our technology is. I do this all day, every day, as many of us do, and don’t really think about it a lot. I thought of what people had to go through, even just 100 years ago, to be able to speak in person to someone who lived so far away. Even when I was a kid in the ’70s, a long-distance call from NJ to CO was such a huge deal.

Now look at us, chatting randomly throughout the day with family, friends, co-workers, clients, patients, doctors, and the list goes on. Yes, we’re all weary and aggravated and we, even the introverts among us, desperately want to get out and do things.

But how lucky we are to have a way to help us cope.

It’s magic, I tell you.
